Job Title: Construction Helper
Location: Abbotsford, BC, V2T 5R6
Work Location: On-site
Salary: $25.00 per hour
Hours: 40 hours per week
Employment Type: Full-time
Number of Vacancies: 2
Start Date: As soon as possible
Work Schedule: Flexible hours
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Load, unload and transport construction materials, tools and equipment at construction sites.
- Assist skilled workers in framing houses, erecting walls and building roofs.
- Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring and barricades.
- Clean, sort and pile salvaged construction materials.
- Perform routine maintenance and general site upkeep.
- Remove rubble, waste materials and other debris from construction sites.
- Tend or feed machines and equipment used in construction, as directed.
Employment Requirements
Education: No degree, certificate or diploma required.
Experience: Previous construction experience is an asset but not mandatory.
Language: English.
Additional Requirements
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and carrying construction materials.
- Willingness to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to follow instructions and workplace safety procedures.
- Reliability, punctuality and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Willingness to work at different construction sites as required.
