HIRING: Sushi Cook in Whistler, BC!

Employâmes Conditions :
- Employment Type: Permanent, Full-time
- Working Location: 7011 Nesters Road, Whistler, BC V8E 0X1
- Working hours: 30~40 hours per week
- Compensation: $22~$28 per hour
Benefits:

Job Duties:
- Cook and complete our menus, such as sashimi, nigiri sushi and rolls etc., from the sushi bar and cold food section instructed by chef
- Assist in and supervise line cooks at the sushi bar and cold food section.
- Lead and instruct the daily preparation for the sushi bar and cold food section, such as trimming raw fishes and preparing seafoods etc.
- Follow the recipes and make sure of the portion and qualify of food to meet standard.
- Participate in meetings for new menu/recipes creations and developments, if required.
- Monitor and ensure freshness and FIFO procedure of ingredients.
- Records inventory for the related ingredients.
- Train newly hired cooks and kitchen helpers, if needed.
- Instruct kitchen helper, if needed.
Requirements:
- Language: English
- Completion of high school
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cooking
- Must be available to work at least one day on weekend and holidays considering the business trends and working schedule.
- Working in Japanese culinary environment and having a sushi technic is an asset.
