We are currently looking for experienced Drywall Installers to join our team.

Position Details

Position: Drywall Installer 
Company: 777 Construction Ltd.

Number of positions: 2
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time 
Salary: $28.00 per hour
Start date: As soon as possible 
Work locations: Candidates are required to work at various job sites in Lower Mainland area (BC) as per company’s contracts with its clients

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding 

Job duties

• Measure cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings. 
• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs. 
• Coordinate work procedures for installation and removal.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners. 
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound. 
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound. 
• Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry. 
• Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Follow all safety procedures on work site.

Job requirements

• Completion of secondary school required.
• Completion of Apprenticeship program in the trade or Minimum 3 years of experience in similar trade is required.
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and the tools involved in the construction or repair of houses, buildings, or other structures
• Effective communication skills.

Note

• If any of the current employee of 777 Construction Ltd. makes a referral that results in to hire, the company will pay $500 referral to that employee. 
• Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided up to $1500.00 for qualified candidates.
