Job description:
DolarShop is a leading individual small pot restaurant chain, offering flavourful hotpot soup. We are seeking a Bookkeeper to join our team immediately. The place of work for this position is located at our business address, 5300 Number 3 Road Unit 720, Richmond, British Columbia V6X 2X9.
This is a permanent, full-time position of 40 hours/week with an annual salary of $60,100 plus potential performance-based bonus. We also offer extended medical insurance 2 weeks’ vacation, and a relocation allowance. The language of work is English.
The main responsibilities for this position include:
- Performing regular bank statement reconciliations to promptly identify unusual transactions
- Verifying invoice information and GST to ensure that each transaction has the corresponding invoice
- Keeping financial records and establishing, maintaining and balancing various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
- Utilizing the detailed classification of income and expenditures and accurately assigning each transaction to the appropriate report and calculation method
- Preparing and formatting correct calculation methods of Debit Card statements
- Reviewing credit card statements and balances, and liaising with the Managing Director (MD) in a timely manner to make credit card payments to avoid incurring interest penalties
- Preparing various classifications and calculations involved in investor reports
- Calculating and preparing cheque payment process as per the established procedure
- Filling out daily income report and accurately completing the report
- Verifying daily/monthly income reports and identifying errors
- Calculating, preparing and issuing documents related to accounts such as bills, invoices, inventory reports and accounts statements
You must have the following qualifications:
- College diploma in Accounting, bookkeeping, payroll management or related field
- Extensive experience in keeping accounts in the restaurant industry
- Understanding of chain restaurant operations
- Willingness to work on a flexible schedule
