Located in Etobicoke, Ontario (QEW & Kipling), we are currently hiring a:
Detail Draftsperson
Your responsibilities include:
- Develop and prepare engineering designs and drawings from preliminary concepts, sketches, engineering calculations, specification sheets and other data
- Operate computer-assisted design (CAD) and drafting workstations
- Develop and prepare design sketches
- Complete documentation packages and produce drawing sets
- Check and verify design drawings to conform to specifications and design data
- Write technical reports
- Prepare specifications, costs and material estimates
- Develop and prepare engineering drawings, plans, diagrams or layouts from sketches
- Compile, track and prepare reports in adherence with company ISO procedures
Operate computer-assisted drafting equipment or a conventional drafting station
- Perform various other project duties as required
You have a mechanical engineering degree (or an equivalent college diploma) with 2-3 years work experience.
You must be proficient in English, both oral and written, possess excellent communication, mathematical and organizational skills and be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point.
You are self-motivated and must be able to work with minimal supervision. Previous manufacturing experience, health & safety, manufacturing MRP/ERP or NX experience are strong assets.
