Job description:
Location: Mississauga, ON L5S 1V6
Salary: $42.25 per hour for 35 hours per week
Number of vacancies: 2
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
Job Type: Permanent employment
Job Responsibilities:
- Facilitate lectures, demonstrations, panel discussions, and laboratory work.
- Prepare curriculum, lesson plans, and teaching materials.
- Develop, deliver, and mark exams and assignments.
- Inform students about study programs and careers in their field of specialization.
- Provide individualized instruction to students who need it.
- Create instructional resources for use in the classroom.
- Plan, prepare and deliver instructional activities.
- Create positive educational climate for students to learn in.
- Meet course and school-wide student performance goals.
- Demonstrate competencies including content knowledge, practical skills, communication skills, presentation skills, numeracy skills, social skills, pedagogy skills, evaluation skills etc.
- Use a variety of teaching and training aids including multimedia
- Demonstrate values, work ethics and empathy towards students.
- Contribute to the placement of vocational students for on the job training, and apprenticeship training.
- Conduct action research.
- Participate in training programs, seminars, conferences
Eligibility Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in Blackboard Learn
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Organizational skills and time management skills necessary
- Minimum experience of 2 years to less than 3 years.
