Truck Driver, Long Haul - FGS Group Ltd.
FGS Group Ltd., a reputable transport company located at 2715 N York River Rd, Milton Station, PE C1E 0T8, seeks experienced Truck Drivers and long Haul to join our dynamic team. We are currently looking to fill 5 full-time positions in Prince Edward Island.
Responsibilities:
- Drive in a team or convoy setting, ensuring safe transportation of goods.
- Loading and unloading goods efficiently and safely.
- Obtain necessary permits and documentation for international cargo transportation.
- Operate straight or articulated trucks to transport various materials.
- Regularly inspect vehicle condition, including tires, lights, and brakes.
- Perform necessary brake adjustments and emergency roadside repairs.
- Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections.
- Oversee all aspects of vehicle maintenance and perform preventive maintenance.
- Communicate effectively with central dispatch, relaying relevant information.
- Record cargo details, hours of service, distance travelled, and fuel consumption.
- Ensure proper tarping and safety measures for cargo transportation.
- Transport and handle dangerous goods with utmost care.
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school or equivalent.
- Possession of Air Brake Endorsement.
- Valid Class 1 or A Driver's License.
Salary and Benefits:
- Salary Ranges between $21 to $23 hourly
- Full-time, Permanent position minimum of 40 to 50 Hours Per Week.
