We are currently seeking to hire one (1) professional and reliable full-time (30-40 hours per week) Live-in Housekeeper. The Live-in Housekeeper will be primarily responsible for cleaning and performing housekeeping duties at the employer’s home, as well as providing basic assistance to the senior individual in mobility, grooming, and light food preparation.
Job Duties:
- Perform a variety of cleaning activities such as sweeping, mopping, dusting, and polishing.
- Clean, disinfect, and polish kitchen and bathroom fixtures and appliances.
- Dust various furniture items and surfaces.
- Vacuum carpets, area rugs, draperies, and upholstered furniture.
- Keep the linen closet stocked.
- Make beds and replace sheets as needed.
- Collect and dispose of trash.
- Wash clothing and household linens as required.
- Clean windows, walls, and ceilings.
- Carry out light housekeeping and cleaning duties.
- Help with senior mobility assistance and personal care tasks such as grooming and bathing.
- Provide grocery shopping, light food preparation, and maintain household supplies.
- Ensure the senior's living space is clean and organized.
Job Requirements:
- Work experience: 7 months to 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Languages: English
- Education: No formal education requirement.
- Work Location: Work in employer’s home in Jarvis, Ontario, Canada.
- Work Setting: Optional accommodation is available at no charge on a live-in basis.
Note: This is NOT a condition of employment.
- Salary: $27.00-$30.00 per hour (to be negotiated).
- Benefits: 2 weeks of vacation time per year.
