Position:                                          Personal assistant - home care

Duration:                                         Permanent, Full-Time

Hours:                                              35-40 hrs/week

Salary:                                              $23.00/hr

Overtime:                                       $34.50/hr (As per BC standards - after 8hrs/day, 40hrs/wk)

Observed Holidays:                       As outlined on labour.gov.bc.ca – 10 holidays/yr

Responsibilities will include the following:

• Provide physical assistance and companionship.
• Assistance in personal hygiene and daily living, like bathing, dressing, grooming.
• Prepare and serve nutritious & special meals to her.
• Assisting in timely manner for routine medications.
• Perform routine housekeeping duties for elderly person such as laundry, washing dishes and making bed.
• Maintain record of her activities, behavior, and symptoms for reference purposes.
• Maintain a safe and clean environment for her.

Other Terms:

4% vacation pay as per British Columbia regulations will be paid each payday on a bi-weekly basis.
