Job Description

We've enhanced our reputation by opening a brand-new Quiznos inside our Gas Station. We offer great quality, fresh, fast, and uncompromising service. Gary Johal Holdings Inc, operating at 1090 Westminster Avenue, W, Penticton, British Columbia, V2A 1L5  is currently hiring food counter attendants.

Job Duties

• Take customers’ orders. Use Point of Sale system/cash register to record the order and compute the amount of the bill.
• Collects payment from guests and make change
• Serve customers at counter
• Portion, assemble, wrap food and package take-out food
• Keep records of the quantities of food used
• Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
• Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
• Remove kitchen garbage and trash
• Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
• Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner while greeting guests and preparing their orders
• Sweep and mop floors, and perform other duties to assist cook and kitchen staff
• Clear and clean tables and trays in eating establishments
• Wash dishes, glassware, flatware, pots and pans using dishwasher or by hand

Employment requirements

• No specific education requirements. No degree, certificate or diploma required
• No prior experience is required. On the Job Training will be provided to willing candidates
• Basic communication skills in English
• Ability to stand in kitchen for long periods of time and carry out physical tasks
• Ability to provide consistent and reliable services in preparation of foods

Benefits

As per BC Employment Standards Act, 4% vacation pay of the gross salary each pay period or 10 days of paid vacation (worker will choose).
