Job description:
Our family in Richmond, BC, is looking for a Home Support Worker to take care of two seniors.
- Salary: $23.00 per hour
- Hours: 35-40 hours per week
- Work Site Environment: Non-smoking, Scent free
- Work Location: 7680 Granville Ave, Richmond, BC, V6Y 4B9
- Must work in employer's/client's home
Job Duties:
- Assist the seniors with bathing and other personal hygiene routines.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote seniors’ mental and emotional well-being.
- Assist seniors in participating in daily physical activities, such as walking.
- Plan and prepare nutritious meals tailored to the seniors’ dietary needs and personal tastes.
- Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Keep family members informed about the seniors’ health conditions and general well-being through consistent communication.
Requirements:
- Completion of secondary school education is required; higher education would be an asset.
- Previous experience in the same field and/or previous full-time training in the field will be an asset.
- Prefer to have a First Aid Certificate or a CPR Certificate.
- Must be patient, friendly, reliable, organized with excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must be able to speak and understand English.
