Job description:
Monarch Paving (2016) Ltd., proudly serving the Greater Vancouver Regional District since 1958, specializes in small to medium-sized asphalt paving projects. We are currently seeking one (1) full-time, permanent General Construction Supervisor to join our growing team.
Position Details:
- Position: General Construction Supervisor (NOC 72021)
- Job Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Salary: $37.00 per hour
- Hours: 30-40 hours per week
- Benefits: As per BC Employment Standards Act, including 4% vacation pay on each scheduled pay cheque
- Location: Work required at various sites across Greater Vancouver
Qualifications:
- Completion of high school is required
- Further education, degree, or trade certification in a related field is an asset
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related construction supervisory role is required
- Proficiency in English is essential
Job Responsibilities:
- Set up and maintain construction project documentation
- Prepare daily reports on site and worker progress
- Estimate project costs and materials
- Train and onboard new workers as required
- Hire and supervise the activities of construction crews
- Manage material tracking and ensure timely delivery to job sites
- Oversee purchase orders and maintain proper inventory control
- Resolve worksite issues and maintain positive client relationships
- Ensure all work is performed in compliance with health and safety standards
- Perform additional duties as required to support project success
