 Position Details

Job Title: Administrative Assistant
Location: Danville, Québec, Canada
Job Type: Full-Time (40 hours/week)
Start Date: [Insert Date or “As soon as possible”]
Compensation: Competitive salary, based on experience
Reports To: Farm Manager/Director


 Responsibilities

As the Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our farm’s operations. Your daily tasks will include:

  • Handling phone calls, emails, and correspondence with suppliers, clients, and partners
  • Managing schedules, appointments, and farm event calendars
  • Preparing and maintaining farm records, reports, and invoices
  • Assisting with payroll and basic bookkeeping tasks
  • Coordinating staff communication and supporting HR functions
  • Organizing files (digital and paper) for easy access and compliance
  • Supporting grant applications, regulatory documentation, and reporting requirements
  • Assisting management in day-to-day administrative duties

 Requirements

We are looking for a motivated individual who thrives in a dynamic farm environment:

  • Education: High school diploma required; college diploma or degree in business administration or related field is an asset
  • Experience: At least 1–2 years in an administrative or office role (experience in agriculture is an advantage but not mandatory)
  • Skills:
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Workspace
    • Excellent verbal and written communication (English or French; bilingual is a plus)
    • Ability to handle confidential information with integrity
    • Strong multitasking abilities and problem-solving skills
  • Other Qualities:
    • Team player with a proactive attitude
    • Comfortable working in a rural/farm environment
    • Attention to detail and a willingness to learn
