Tasks
• Plan, oversee, and manage full-cycle residential basement renovation projects from inception to completion, including conducting post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and implementing continuous improvement practices.
• Consult and coordinate with clients, engineers, designers, and city inspectors to develop accurate renovation scopes, timelines, and budgets, while also representing the company at networking events and client acquisition meetings to promote business development.
• Prepare detailed residential project bids and cost estimates, ensuring profitability and quality workmanship, while also collaborating with the internal admin and estimators for cost control and proactively monitoring market trends to strengthen bidding strategies.
• Coordinate and manage the work of subcontractors across various trades including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, carpentry, drywall, tiling, and waterproofing.
• Inspect work to ensure it aligns with plans, meets building code standards, and exceeds client expectations.
• Develop and maintain a network of qualified suppliers and subcontractors to support ongoing and future residential projects.
• Prepare and manage project timelines and resource allocations, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget.
• Provide on-site and remote supervision of multiple job sites, resolving issues promptly and minimizing disruptions.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, environmental, and health and safety regulations and protocols.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the renovation process, managing expectations and fostering strong relationships.
• Maintain thorough documentation of project progress, financials, change orders, and client ncommunication.
• Train and mentor supervisory staff, tradespeople, and apprentices, fostering a collaborative and productive team environment.
• Schedule and attend staged inspections with city inspectors after key construction phases such as framing, plumbing, and HVAC to ensure compliance and progress approval.
• Support the company’s growth by developing and executing promotional strategies, engaging in competitive analysis, and exploring partnership opportunities through client-facing engagements.
