Job Overview
A local Canadian manufacturer with over 50 years of experience producing advanced steam generators and custom wood Cabins. We are seeking a skilled Production Operations Manager to oversee production operations, staff supervision, and technical quality management, with emphasis on commercial-level electrical systems and woodworking machinery safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, and supervise production operations and staff.
  • Oversee manufacturing lines including boiling tank construction, control panel wiring, and electrical testing.
  • Supervise woodworking fabrication processes, ensuring proper use of machinery and adherence to safety standards.
  • Coordinate with design, service, and construction teams.
  • Develop and manage production schedules, budgets, and maintenance programs.
  • Implement ISO 9001 and 5C quality control systems.
  • Manage production data, CAD schematics, SolidWorks drawings, and cloud-based records.
  • Oversee parts ordering, packing, shipping, and inventory traceability.
  • Support field service staff and troubleshoot technical issues for clients.
  • Maintain facilities, receiving/shipping operations, and minimize production losses.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • 10+ years of supervisory/managerial experience in manufacturing.
  • Licensed/qualified in commercial-level electrical systems (transformers, contactors, troubleshooting) under the Canadian Electrical Code.
  • Knowledge of woodworking machinery and safety protocols.
  • Experience in electronics (controller/motherboard troubleshooting) and plumbing (pipe soldering/welding).
  • Strong computer skills: MS Office, TurboCAD, SolidWorks, AWS cloud data system.
  • Familiar with ISO 9001:2015; ISO internal audit certification preferred.
  • Certifications: WHMIS, Worker Health & Safety Awareness, Working at Heights.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with vendors, support staff, and resolve client issues.
