Auto Detailer Supervisor/Cleaning Supervisor

JOB DETAILS

Salary: $25.00 / hour for 40 hours / week

Vacancies: 1 vacancy

Terms of employment: Permanent employment, Full time

Start date: As soon as possible

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Ability to Supervise: 3-4 people

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, Repetitive tasks, Physically demanding, Manual dexterity, Combination of sitting, standing, walking

Work Site Environment: Noisy, Dusty

Personal Suitability: Reliability, Dependability, Initiative, Effective interpersonal skills, Flexibility, Judgement

Additional Skills: Hire and train or arrange for training of cleaning staff

Specific Skills:

• Report directly to the Shop Manager
• Supervise and coordinate the activities of specialized cleaners
• Inspect sites or facilities to ensure safety and cleanliness standards
• Coordinate work activities with other departments
• Prepare shift work schedule of staff who cleans automotive vehicles and work area and ensure required manpower is always available according to need
• Ensure quality of work and perform quality control inspection before customer pick-up  
• Monitor availability of cleaning supplies and materials and coordinate needs to the shop manager
• Promote work-place safety and ensure staff are following the safety guidelines in the performance of their job to prevent workplace injury
• Train and mentor new and existing staff in the performance of their duties and in the safe use of cleaning equipment such as grinder, sprayer, air blower, cleaning chemicals and others 
• Ensure the usage of safety clothing such overall work clothes, mask, goggles, helmet, gloves, safety shoes, ear plugs, and other safety gadgets
• Report work-place injury and prepare report to document the incident
• Conduct employees’ assessment and make recommendations
• Ensure cleaning materials are well kept and maintained in a secured room
• Perform the functions of staff being supervised
