Position  Summary:

Umami Sushi is looking for one Sushi Chef to join their team.

Job Details:

Location: 17725 64 Avenue suite 205 Surrey, BC V3S 1Z2

Salary: $36.70 hourly / 30 to 40 hours per week

Employment Type: Permanent employment, Full time

Employment conditions: Evening, Morning, Day

Requirement: Starts as soon as possible

Job Requirements:

Languages: English

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Experience: 3 years to less than 5 years

On site: Work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.

Responsibilities:

Tasks:

• Create new recipes
• Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food
• Supervise cooks and other kitchen staff
• Prepare and cook meals or speciality foods
• Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food
• Ensure health and safety regulations are followed
• Address customers' complaints or concerns

Credentials: Certificates, licences, membership, and courses

• Safe Food Handling certificate
• Food Safety Certificate

Experience and specialization: Cuisine specialities:

• Sushi preparation techniques
• Japanese cuisine
