Tasks
Operate and drive primarily tractor-trailor and long-combination vehicles to transport goods and materials overlong distances, Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Operate and drive straight or articulated trucks totransport goods and materials, Oversee condition of vehicle and inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage andother equipment, Perform brake adjustments, Perform emergency roadside repairs, Perform pre-trip, en route andpost-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of vehicle, Perform preventive maintenance, Receive and relayinformation to central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance travelled and fuelconsumption, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
