Job Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, and oversee operational logistics of the organization
- Building relationships with vendors and customers
- Direct and review the work plan for assigned staff
- Implement appropriate safety guidelines and investigate injuries or unsafe conditions
- Develop delivery schedules and drop shipment strategies
- Coordinate warehousing and storeroom activities with outside agencies and organizations
- Discover new trends and innovations in how the logistics activities of the business are carried out
- Participate in the development and implementation of goals, objectives, policies, and priorities of the organization.
- Plan and manage logistics, warehouse, and transportation services
- Liaise and negotiate with freight vendors and brokers
- Keep track of quality, the volume of work, delivery times, transport costs, and efficiency
- Arrange warehouse, plan routes, and process shipments
- Supervise, coach, and train warehouse employees
- Meet cost, productivity, accuracy, and timeline targets
- Enforce all company policies, rules, and regulations
- Supervisory experience in a warehouse, logistics, or supply chain environment
- Computer literate with experience in MS Office (Word, Excel), QuickBooks, and Wave
- Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies
