We, The Wok House on Poratge is currently looking for 2 Full-time and permanent Kitchen Helpers to assist our restaurant.
Position: Kitchen Helper
Employer: 6787313 Manitoba Ltd o/a The Wok House
Term of Employment: Permanent, Full-time (We can consider Part-time as well as Full-time applicants)
Position Available: 2
Work location: 3727 Portage Ave, Winnipeg, MB R3K 2A8
Salary: $15.30/hr, based on 30-40hrs/wk with 4% paid vacation
Overtime: Overtime will be provided after 8hrs/day, 40hrs/wk
Benefit: Free meal and tip
Work Setting: Chinese restaurant
Education: Not required, but any secondary education is an asset.
Experience: Not required, will provide training

Job Description:
- Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
- Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
- Portion and wrap foods
- Package take-out food
- Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas
- Clear and clean tables, trays, and chairs
- Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces, cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment
- Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
- Operate dishwashers to wash dishes, glassware and flatware if necessary
- Sanitize and wash dishes and other items by hand and place dishes in storage area
- Keep records of the quantities of food used
- Remove kitchen garbage and trash
- Sharpen kitchen knives
